Founded in 2015 as Aloe City Records, and later rebranded as Aloe City Wrld in 2022, the United States then Romanian label became one of the most prolific names in the vaporwave, barber beats, and ambient underground. Throughout its existence, Aloe City developed a reputation for high-quality cassette, vinyl, MiniDisc, and CD releases, helping many artists reach a wider audience through carefully curated physical editions.

Originally focused on vaporwave and ambient music, the label gradually shifted toward barber beats during the early 2020s, becoming one of the genre’s most recognizable distributors.
