Hiraeth Records
Founded in 2018 by Jornt Elzinga in the Netherlands, Hiraeth Records has grown from a small bedroom project into one of the most respected independent labels in the modern vaporwave scene. Named after the Welsh word hiraeth a longing for a place that no longer exists, or perhaps never existed the label embodies nostalgia, melancholy, and futuristic escapism.
Hiraeth Records is known for releasing both legendary and emerging artists across a wide range of vaporwave subgenres, including slushwave, ambient, mallsoft, barber beats, cyberpunk ambient, dreampunk, and solarpunk. Beyond its own catalog, the label has become a major European distribution hub, making physical vaporwave releases more accessible to collectors worldwide.
