• 1. ✰PLANET CHASER STARLIGHT EXCELLENT✰ by Agnar

This album honestly just scratches my brain in a way I didn’t even know was possible. The production is generally pretty simple, but I just keep coming back to it because the chops are genuinely so addicting. Specific favorites here are “WINDOWS VISTA EGO DEATH” and “LEARNING TO SAY HELLO”.

• 2. untitled by computer dreams

This album is probably my favorite early vaporwave release. I genuinely love stuff that has this super raw feeling, as if the album was made in just a couple of hours. It really has this unique charm that keeps me coming back to it. My favorite tracks on here are “untitled 06”, “untitled 02”, and “untitled 05”.

• 3. Sunny Blu 27 by Gold Blu-27

This album is a more recent discovery of mine. I genuinely love the concepts behind Frutiger Aero stuff, having grown up with the whole aesthetic being everywhere. This album is super nostalgic for me, and I love the entire world built around it. It’s like combining Slideshow by CRT Paralysis with Far Side Virtual. Some of my favorite tracks are “Aquatic Lobby”, “The Glistening Sea”, and “Yui’s Clothing Shoppe”.

• 4. Black Box by Rooms Without Doors

This album has an incredibly amazing dark tone throughout. It will make you dance and then immediately make you feel the weight of an existential crisis. Also, I promise I’m not biased just because I have a feature on here, haha. Some of my favorite tracks include “fuck you fuck your self fuck”, “identity is a sham”, and “angels 18”.

• 5. CLUECORE! by cluli

I don’t know if this would count cause this isn’t technically vaporwave, but I have to go with this album as my last one I’m writing about. This album is like injecting yourself with every single part of the past 5 years of the internet, This album feels like an energy drink. And is genuinely so well produced cause I genuinely have no idea where i would start to attempt to recreate this. Some of my favorite songs are “the fog isn’t actually coming”, “good dog, smash city”, and “holiday special”
