This release caught my attention when I first heard it; a chunk of the samples come from artists on Klaus Schulze’s Innovative Communication label. The album is a sultry, smooth collection of muzak that hits me with an unplaceable nostalgia.
Masterful hypnagogic soundscapes. Though vapor-adjacent, this release taps into something so profound. It requires attention and discipline to listen to but once it clicks, it transports you back to places and times you probably didn’t experience. The essence of transportive media.
Love this release from SkyYamaha – a collection of interesting electronic music that really stretches itself into different states. New age synth music and a hint of 90s IDM, perhaps? Very tasty album. I’m a fan of this artist.
